Toxic Positivity

(The dark side of excessive positivity)🌑

Toxic positivity relates to the situation of mind numbing positivity, due to which we tend to deny awful incidents and experiences, and project ourselves into extreme state of denial.

For instance, someone has started smoking in our house, but we calm ourselves by saying, "It is okay , no worries" , he/she will get rid of it sooner or later. But practically, this is not okay at all. If someone starts smoking, it is literally hard for them to leave smoking and be normal. ‼️

To conclude, that extreme amount of positivity has taken toll over our conscious mind and we have headed towards devastation which will never end up in recovery.

TOXIC POSITIVITY ---Vs--- NON TOXIC POSITIVITY NOTIONS

“Positive vibes only" -------“I am here for you for both good and bad."

“Everything will workout"------“It would work out with conscious positive effort" ‼️

“Never bring negative thoughts in mind"-----"You need to think about both positive and negative aspects of a thing.”

🖍Emotional conflict:---We might suck in real situations and incidents because now we can take in heavy chunks of positive vibes, without bothering about real reason. It finally leads to suppression and neglect of emotions, because we want to bring out positively projected vibrations, but wait, are not we playing emotional hide & seek with ourselves ?For instance, we get cheated several times by our loved ones, still you tend to deny to your conscious by placating yourself, "i am wrong, i should not be so negative and hostile, let it go."

🖍Denial of negative intuitions:--It finally leads to extreme freak and hallucination, where we unconsciously trust that future is devoid of problems and risks. When we get to face those situations, we suck and give up on ourselves, it is all due to denial of negative intuitions in the past which might had made us resilient.

🖍Fake social image:-- When we don’t want to show a weak and sucking part of ourselves, we create a fake face or persona for the world. That face can sometimes look cheery, stating, “Everything happens for a reason, it is what it is.” If you’re angry—and the angry feelings aren’t acknowledged—they get buried deep within our body. These suppressed emotions can later manifest in depression, or even physical illness.
